Selk Dairy Farms (2003) Ltd. is hiring a dairy farm worker at a rural farm near Magrath, AB, for a permanent, full-time, on-site position paying $19.00 per hour, 40 to 60 hours per week, starting as early as August 31, 2026. Staff accommodation is available on-site, and shifts include early mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends, with required overtime.
Responsibilities
- Disinfect pens, barns or poultry houses
- Handle animals
- Monitor the calving process and overall animal health
- Perform livestock feeding
- Prepare a clean, dry area for cows that are calving
- Feed and tend animals
- Milk cows
- Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens
- Perform general farm duties and weeding
Requirements
- No degree, certificate or diploma required
- No experience necessary — training provided
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with repetitive tasks and heavy workloads
- Good hand-eye co-ordination, colour discrimination, and sound discrimination
- Organized, reliable, flexible, and a quick learner
