INTEGRA HOMES is hiring a construction labourer in Courtenay, BC, for a permanent, full-time position at $25.00 per hour, 40 hours per week. The employer offers on-the-job training tailored to youth and does not require Canadian work experience.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload and transport construction materials
- Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades
- Help medical examiner in charge
- Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs
- Level earth to fine grade specifications
- Assist in demolishing buildings
- Clean and pile salvaged materials
- Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
Requirements
- No degree, certificate or diploma required
- 1 to less than 7 months of experience
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment involving repetitive tasks and handling heavy loads
- Flexible, reliable, and a strong team player
