SHELL BOWDEN is hiring a retail store supervisor in Bowden, AB, a rural gas bar location, for a permanent, full-time, on-site position paying $20.00 to $22.00 per hour (to be negotiated), 35 to 40 hours per week. Shifts include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and on-call, with mandatory overtime, and candidates must be willing to relocate.
Responsibilities
- Supervise staff (apprentices, stage hands, design team, etc.)
- Assign sales workers to duties
- Hire and train or arrange for training of staff
- Authorize return of merchandise
- Sell merchandise
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
- Organize and maintain inventory
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers
- Manage cash
- Supervise office and volunteer staff
- Supervise a team of 5 to 10 people
Requirements
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
- Knowledge of MS Outlook
- Bondable with a basic security clearance
- Own transportation and own vehicle
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, working under pressure with tight deadlines, handling heavy loads, and standing for extended periods
